Sacred Sexuality
The word tantra comes from two words, tanoti, which means expansion, and trayati, which means liberation. Everything in life is about Tantra. The rain dropping onto the earth or the wind blowing through the trees, embracing a loved one or having an arguement with them, it is all tantra, creation and merging. Everything in life is always dancing with the polarities, with the interchangeable energies. Tantra takes the Whole person or experience, including all desires into account. Tantric practices aim at unifying the polarities inherent in the world and one’s self. These opposites are known as consciousness and energy, personified as the masculine (“Shiva”) and feminine (“Shakti”) forces of nature.
Unfortunately, a large number of tantric enthusiasts, in both the West and the East, mistakenly identify tantra as witchcraft, seduction, black magic and an amalgam of techniques for influencing others. When this falls into the hands of charlatans, it is inevitably misused giving tantra a bad name. Fortunately, however, there are still true masters and authentic scriptures to undercut such false and distorted notions and make it possible for us to gain a better understanding of this sublime path.
We have seven main wheel-like energy centers called chakras that correspond with vital areas of our bodies and emotional and spiritual aspects of our lives. The first chakra is our root/base chakra, this is the grounding force that allows us to connect to the earth energies. The Base Chakra is situated around the base of the spine and at the perenium and its energy extends downward, like roots, through the legs and feet to contact the solid earth below.
Using the senses, breath, touch and movement to bring the energy of our root chakra up into the heart and to direct the energy of our hearts down into our root chakra, we can unite the feminine and masculine sides of us. When we feel this inner fusion, we can bring a harmony to our relationship with our Self and others. Merging Heart with Sexuality help us to unite masculine and feminine within and to experience the natural rhythms of pleasure in our body.
Women
The seed of a woman’s sexuality is in Her heart, but in society today a woman is most often judged from the outside by her shape, proportions, and curves, a woman has a bird's eye view of herself. She is used to seeing herself from a distance and rarely feeling herself from within. When a woman learns how to nourish a romance wth her own body, to unite with it from the inside, alive in all her senses, she exudes a breathtakingly feminine quality that transforms the atmosphere around her.
Yoni is the Sanskrit word for the vagina, translated as ‘Sacred place’. The yoni receives and contains the energy from all lovers, be it good or bad. This energy can remain within the yoni for 5 to 7 years. There can be so much emotion and trauma held in the yoni, but as a woman begins to connect her yoni’s pleasure to her heart in a safe and supportive space, this trauma can be released clearing the way for a whole new level of sexual experience, clarity, power and self love.

Men
In our society it is very difficult for men to find a space where they can come to unburden themselves of the emotional traumas, the pent up feelings, fears and deep blocks around their sexuality. Many men are confused and have difficulty finding deep connections with women and understanding the dynamics of male/female relating.
Traditional conditioning has men in a doing and goal oriented mode. There is a natural and healthy drive within men in particular, to succeed, to progress, yet when this becomes imbalanced it can cause problems in intimacy and sexuality. Rather than being consciously present in the moment, he is thinking about the next step, whether he is ‘doing it right', or succeeding quickly enough. It can be challenging learning when to surrender and when to take control, and how to be open and get in touch with feelings, yet there is a profound masculine strength to be found when men embrace their vulnerability and sensitivity as well as assertiveness and strength.
Through Energy opening Bodywork and Healing sessions He can open to receive and to reconnect with his internal power, his vulnerability, sense of authority and personal integrity.
